Witness of Berit
Until 2005 I was living a life only caring for myself and my family. By God’s grace, I received a series of Bible studies, that truly opened my eyes, and I started to believe in Jesus. I have learned the importance of receiving God’s Word on Sunday, and I have diligently kept the Lord’s Day holy.
Gen 1:2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Gen 1:3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
Unknown to me, I have lived my life in darkness, and only after I was inspired by the Holy Spirit, the light came into my life.
Lord’s Day service became a constant in my life, I planned by business trips and holidays around Sunday, so I would not miss worship service. I experienced the blessings when God is pleased with one who has repented. God blessed me with 2 more children and multiplied my business.
I tried to evangelize my relatives and friends, so they could also be awakened by the truth and get to know God, but I was not able to convince them. They asked me many questions that I was not able to answer, often my attempts in evangelism turned into debates or even arguments.
It became clear to me, that my understanding was so lacking, that I was not able to convince anyone of the one and only truth that matters in life. Under those circumstances, I signed up for Berit Seminary.
The content of Berit is based on Rev. Abraham Park’s History of Redemption Series, the essence of his profound understanding from reading the Bible over 1,800 times. The lectures use plain language and clear expressions, Berit teaches God’s Word with authority.
With each lecture, my understanding grew. The puzzle pieces of biblical knowledge that I collected from worship services and Bible studies gradually and progressively combined into a coherent and comprehensive, amazing picture.
Eph 1:10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.
Berit conclusively demonstrates how God’s plan for our redemption and has been progressively coming to fruition through the records of the Bible.
Not only did my biblical understand grow, but even my understanding of our world and people has also increased. Through the Word of History of Redemption, I have learned what kind of person King Saul was. He surrounded himself with people who flattered him, revealing his heart of seeking his own glory. On the other hand, King David kept people who criticized, because he believed God was rebuking him through them. David’s heart was always seeking to do God’s will, and that is why he is acknowledged as a man after God’s heart (Act 13:22).
After I learned to understand the character of people 3,000 years ago through those few records, it became easy to see through the people we can observe in front of us today.
Eph 1:8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight
Through the understanding of God, all wisdom and insight will be lavished upon us!
In the beginning, I joined the Berit Seminary hoping to evangelize others. Yet I was the one who benefited the most, spiritually and physically.
My family worship has grown into a sizable congregation of around 100 believers.
My son is already serving God as a Sunday school teacher. My business is stable even during these unstable times.
I must highly recommend Berit to everybody. Believers, regardless of whether newcomers or ministers.
May God’s Word shine on you, and give you light and guide you through these dark times.
