Applicants to most programs may begin in any semester. The deadline for the fall semester application is approximately August 20, and for the spring semester approximately January 20, each year, but we admit students on a rolling basis, so the sooner you apply, the sooner you will receive an admissions decision.
Since admission to our programs is on a rolling basis, once your application file is complete and all application materials have been submitted to the admissions office (including references, and transcripts, etc), the Admissions Committee will make a decision within two to five weeks. At that point, you will receive a notice via email and/or letter from Berit’s Admissions Office informing you of the decision.
BTS’s academic programs and facilities are open to students of all Christian denominations who meet the standard requirements for admission. BTS desires only qualified students and personnel who are committed to Jesus Christ.
BTS does not discriminate based on sex, race, color, national, or limited English proficiency in the administration of educational policies, admission policies, scholarships, or any other programs and activities.
Yes, Berit Seminary presently offers a Distance Education Program (online) for an international student.
But a student visa cannot be obtained through Berit Theological Seminary until we are accredited.
Berit Seminary is not eligible for the Title IV federal funding. We keep very affordable tuition, so our students did not need to.
Some institutions choose not to accept such funding in order to maintain independence from federal oversight.
If you would prefer, we can send you a paper version of the application either through the mail or via email as a PDF for you to download, print, and fill out by hand. But it can delay your admission process. We can assure you that our online application system is secure and safe for your personal information.
If you would like a paper application, please contact the main admissions office: admin@berit.us, or sophia@berit.us.
If your recommender is having trouble with the online reference form, or simply does not want to do the online version, we can send you a PDF version of the reference either via email. Once you receive the PDF reference form, you will need to download and print the form, then send this form to your recommender. Once your recommender completes the form, he/she can either e-mail it as a scanned attachment to admin@berit.us.
If a student is applying for another school, the registrar will ask or look to see if the school is accredited. If it is accredited at that time, then the conversation will usually end there. Sometimes they may look further to see the actual date of accreditation and compare that date to when the student was taking classes. However, since accreditation is a long process that requires continual improvement rather than just meeting a set of requirements, they should realize that the education offered in the years prior to receiving accredited status was comparable to that received after.
