Program
The Doctor of Ministry (DMin) is an advanced, professional degree program designed for those engaged in the full-time practice of ministry. It is the highest professional degree. It differs from a Ph.D. degree in that its focus is on competence in the practice of ministry rather than on advanced academic research.

2 years (6 trimesters)
Admission Requirements
- Applicants to the Doctor of Ministry program must normally have at least three years of ministry experience completed after receiving the Master of Divinity and evidence of capacity for an advanced level of competence and reflection.
- A GRE score is not required.
- The student who has acquired the Master of Divinity degree from Berit is eligible.
- For the student who has acquired the Master of Divinity(M.Div.) degree from other seminaries, faculty and administration will determine equivalence and eligibility.

20 Courses: A total of 60 credit hours (Including the 4 credit hours from a choice of dissertation or graduation alternative courses)

Advanced Standing for D.Min.: 8 Courses (24 Credits) 1 Year
Advanced standing with credit reduces the number of hours required for the degree.

Admission Requirements
Advanced standing credit, may be earned by the Doctor of Biblical Studies (D.B.S.) degree from Berit.
A student may apply for advanced standing by contacting the local campus Registrar.
Academic Requirements for Completion
A total of 18 credit hours of study or more, plus 6 credit hours from a choice of thesis or graduation alternative courses.
